Melanie's Qualifications

Melanie became active in the education profession more than two decades ago when she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and a Master of Education (MAEd) degree from University of Northern Colorado. For seven years, she taught Middle School and led workshops for the Colorado Department of Education.

The workshops focused on bringing parents, administrators and teachers together to discover new ways to meet student's needs. The principles she learned while earning her qualifications impact how she designs, develops, and creates her adventures in learning to this day.

In 1999, Melanie earned the designation of CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) from the National Speakers Association. Established in 1980, the CSP designation is the speaking industry's measure of professional platform skills. Less than 8% of NSA's 3,700 members have earned this honor.
